the asmarwood headquarters keeps its industrial nature in plain sight rather than dressing over it. board marked concrete columns rise through the entrance, their timber grain left to read as structure, set against dark afrormosia wood and white plaster, the raw and the refined held in deliberate tension. the plan is rectangular, ordered, efficient, but it is the corridors that give the building its character, monumental in scale, running the length of the floors as the routes along which the work and its people meet. light is kept even and the materials are left honest. it is a workplace built as a single clear gesture, weight, line, and the long perspective of a corridor.
