residence on the corniche — hero

residence on the corniche, 2022

a large apartment set against beirut's coastline, arranged so the sea is always within reach. travertine lines the walls, its grain a quiet record of time, grounding the interior in something older than its furniture. daylight enters wide and soft, and the plan is left open so it can travel from the living spaces to the edge of the view without interruption. the dining room gathers under low, diffuse light. the bedrooms withdraw into a calmer register, soft fabrics, a muted palette, windows held to the city and the water. the house is composed less around its objects than around the movement of light and the horizon it frames.
